Amid the current influx of pipeline work in the Northeast United States, re-engineering a project connecting New Jersey and New York, USA utilizing the latest technology in the marine cable industry has been underway. The Hudson Transmission Project, originally completed in June of 2013, carrying electricity through three separate conduits under the Hudson River, was host to a continuously faulting cable. After multiple repairs, one being on Thanksgiving, the next being just past the new year, and a multitude of following complications relating to the cable itself, the project managers decided that a new cable design must be implemented.
The following pictures depict the story of the new cable installations.
